O a doua ediție cu stil grafic actualizat, unele revizuiri ale regulilor și câteva cartonașe diferite a fost lansată în 2020. A doua ediție fost lansată de Lineart cu reguli traduse în limba română.

Thousands of years before the present city of Carcassonne was built, the area was already populated. The people hunted wild animals, gathered berries and caught fish for their daily survival. Even today there remains fantastic cave paintings and archaeological finds from which we understand the lives of those days.

• Fan Expansions for Hunters and Gatherers - A small number of fan produced "print-and-play" expansions have been created which are available from CarcassonneCentral and CarcassonneForum. These expansions may either be "completed" (available as a complete pack of tiles and rules (as applicable - some may only be a set of rules)) or "in development" (partially developed, perhaps some tiles and an outline of rules in a forum discussion thread).
