Originally released by Hans im Glück in 2022, Mists over Carcassonne is a collaborative tile-laying game in a haunted setting featuring mists, ghosts, haunted castles and cemeteries. It is a game for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up.

Mists over Carcassonne is a standalone game based on Carcassonne. It is also compatible with regular Carcassonne so it can be played as an expansion.

Dense mist creeps over the fields, swallowing up all of Carcassonne. Even the bravest knights tremble, their armor rattling, when they hear: "The mist is waking up the souls of the Cathars. They are coming for justice!"

To restore peace in Carcassonne, you must work together to appease the restless spirits.
