Scoring/majority

  • If you have one meeple on a completed road and send it to Leipzig, you score no points for road? I've assumed this, but originally it stated "spare the points" - meepledrone has confirmed this is how he interprets it as well Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
  • If you hold the majority on a road 2 to 1, the other player scores nothing and cannot move their meeple to Leipzig? - again meepledrone seems to confirm this Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

I think rules are pretty clear on that. You can send to Leipzig only when you have a majority and players that do not have the majority cannot send to leipzig. They also do not get points as in standard Carcassonne rules. The question is: Me and my opponent have two meeples on the road. Then I send one to lepizig and use other to score, opponent do not send anything and use both to score. Do we count the majority again to score? My opponent is winnig at this point, because I have sent one meeple to Leipzig. My answer is that we consider majority before sending to Leipzig. I choose this, because it is simpler and raises less problems. --Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Agreed. That's how I'd interpreted it Wolnic (talk) 20:30, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

  • If you send your single meeple into the Wainwrights Quarter and don't score the road, do you get the extra points? Fair enough if you move one and use a second meeple to score the road Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

I guess rules are pretty clear on that, there is sentence just for that. You get extra points for road if you score a road. The question is: If by placing the tile you close a road, decide to send to coiners/bookbinders quarter and finish your city/monastery with the same tile. Do you get bonus points? I vote for yes. This would be consistent with the sentence about scoring road. --Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Definition of "Shed" and "Farm" and "Coat Of Arms"

  • might need a Glossary Page (if these are to be referred to on multiple expansion pages) or explanatory images? If you'd like I can create a new page called "Glossary of Terms" which can be used for common abbreviations or buzzwords that may require further clarification, but I don't know if there are better ways to do it Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Totally agree. I have created something like that on my blog, but I am sure that you can create something more precise. This can/(should?) be version independent. --Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

A "Road connected to Leipzig"

  • A road connected to Leipzig includes roads connected through a village with Leipzig - this would, presumably, also include roads which pass through other features from expansions, such as monasteries, fruit trees, etc. - who says "no official rules" - HiG? But we can make suggestions, right?

--Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Agreed, I have made annotation

--Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Updated the footnote regarding roads connected indirectly to Leipzig to follow the rules more strictly.

Completed Monastery

  • - no bonus points if an Abbot is used and removed before the Monastery is fully complete? Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Rules are clear, completed monastery, but I have made annotation for that.

Formatting

  • Is the line within Scoring a Feature necessary?

It might look better one line lower to separate the moving from the scoring Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

Agreed, It looked a bit weird, just replaced with few empty lines.--Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

  • I think I'd like to see the "OR" indented in line with the options - hard spaces to force indent? and lower case? Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

If you think it may look better somehow feel free to correct. I do not think anyone need to raise question about such things unless it is matter of applying some complicated CSS/html --Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Modified to lower case and indented, using a preceding colon Wolnic (talk) 20:28, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Preparation

  • Addition of "mix the normal Start Tile in with the rest of the Land tiles" and "place City of Leipzig in the middle of the table"? Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

There is nothing to mix. I think tile placing is explained more than enough., but go ahead If you think that something can be simplified/rephrased. I wonder if this whole "Vratislavia to the east etc." is necessary if later publisher states that this is insignificant for the game --Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

"Placing a Tile" and "Placing a Meeple"

  • probably non-applicable in this expansion, other than in relation to placing other tiles against road/city/fields on the Leipzig city tiles - worth adding something like "when placing a tile to continue the landscape against one of the Leipzig tiles". And similar for Meeple placement? Wolnic (talk) 21:55, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

I just followed the manual. At this point I do not see what can be added without blurring the picture. Maybe something like "Look into scoring section for details"?--Msasinski (talk) 19:44, 12 September 2018 (UTC)

Contents: An additional 9th Meeple

In BGG you can find a description of the contents of the expansion, where 13 meeples in different colors were included in the 2nd release.

See:

https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/235057/carcassonne-die-markte-zu-leipzig

Saying:

The expansion was first released as a limited edition of total 600 examples: the 1st 300 examples at the "modell hobby spiel" in Leipzig from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2017, and the 2nd 300 examples at the Spiel'17 in Essen from 26th to 29th of October 2017. This limited version was signed by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede and the CEO of Leipzig's trade fair center (Messe Leipzig) and contain 13 Followers/Meeples. A more general version is also available.

In the Spanish rules available there, they state that the 9th meeple is included because this expansions makes players run out of meeples very easily.
