On each C3.1 major expansion page, you will find a Quick Overview with helpful information about the respective game components. Sometimes, new figures are also included with the expansions. Most of these figures correspond to a certain type, which can be identified in the quick overview, too. This is often very helpful in determining the abilities of the individual figures based on the explicit wording in the rules.
For example, when the rules refer to meeple, this refers to all figures that correspond to the meeple type. Therefore the dragon from 
El drac i la fada may remove standard meeples as well as any other meeples (and only meeples).

It should also be noted that not every figure standing in a city, on a road, a field, or monastery automatically takes on the type of a knight, traveler, farmer, or monk. This is only the case if it is explicitly mentioned in the rules.
For example, you may place the large meeple (
Exp. 1 ‒ Fondes i catedrals) as a knight, traveler, farmer, or monk. Therefore you may assign the builder (
Exp. 2 ‒ Comerciants i constructors) to the large meeple as well as the standard meeple. On the other hand, you may not assign the builder to the mayor (
Exp. 5 ‒ Emissaris i alcaldes) because you may place the mayor in a city but not as a knight.
The scarecrow, as another example, you may not place as a farmer, but it may turn into one and then interact with barns (
Exp. 8 ‒ Castells i ponts).

When scoring a road with one or more inns, you score 2 points for each land tile of that road. As usual, you simply count the land tiles, not the road segments. When scoring a city with one or more cathedrals, you score 3 points for each land tile of that city (and each coat of arms). If you have to perform a double turn but the current tile stack is empty (or the last tile in the stack could not be placed), resolve the tournament first and then proceed with your second turn.
Pregunta: The current tile stack is empty and your builder is next to the tile stacks. What should you do?
Resposta: If your builder is next to the face-down tile stacks at the end of your turn but you cannot draw a tile because the current tile stack is empty, you first resolve the tournament. Then, you take your builder back and perform your second turn. (7/2026)
When scoring the pigs, the fortress is considered a complete city. You may assign your builder to a meeple when placing it as a traveler on a bridge. If you build a bridge that continues a road on which your builder is already present, you do trigger the builder.
If you place a tile in a way that it completes a city that consists of exactly 2 city segments and in which your builder is present, you do trigger the builder even if you then decide to build a castle on it (and move the remaining standard meeple onto the castle as a maiden).
When you move a farmer with an assigned pig onto the barn, you must return your pig to your supply.
The pig scoring considers cities with castles. (10/2025)
Building a castle on a 2-tile city with a coat of arms does not trigger the pig scoring. (10/2025) You may not assign your pig to your shepherd. You may not assign your builder or pig to your ringmistress. When scoring a performance token, your builder or pig do not score extra points.Exp. 3 ‒ El drac i la fada
During setup, the removal of tiles will only affect the base game and Exp. 3 ‒ El drac i la fada. Any other expansions added to the game will not be affected. Pregunta: If you are combining Exp. 3 ‒ El drac i la fada with other major expansions, should we follow the following steps during setup?
1. Shuffle Exp. 3 into the base game first.
2. Remove 5 tiles at this point, so we do not affect other expansions.
3. Shuffle in the tiles of any other major expansion afterwards.
We would like to know if the removal of tiles should only affect the base game + Exp. 3 so all the other expansions are played unaffected (e.g. you are preventing the removal of any cathedrals from Exp. 1 when also playing with Exp. 3).
Resposta: The removal of tiles in Exp. 3 only affects the base game and Exp. 3.
The idea is to leave players in the dark when it comes to the exact number of dragon symbols and dragon hoards in the game. (7/2026)
When orienting the dragon, the dragon must face in the direction of a meeple even if the fairy is assigned to it.
When you place a meeple in a straight line in front, behind, to the left or right of the dragon, you do not reorient the dragon as a reaction to that.
Each half of the double-sized tile acts as an individual tile, so you may place a meeple on one half without being affected by the dragon placed on the other (e.g. on the double-sized river lake). Likewise, a meeple with the fairy could be placed on one half without affecting the dragon on the other. (10/2025)
The fairy points are not part of the scoring for a completed feature. Scoring fairy points does not prevent you from moving the fairy if the conditions required for it are met. (1/2026)
Pregunta: A city is occupied by 2 red meeples, and 1 blue meeple next to the fairy. Blue completes the city. Only Red scores for the city, and Blue scores the 3 points for the fairy. Can Blue assign the fairy to another of their meeples since the player did not score points for the city?

During a dragon movement, the dragon may move past castles but may not remove maidens on castles, nor castles. The dragon protects the maiden from knightly admirers.
You may build a castle (and place a maiden accordingly) even if it overlaps a tile with a dragon hoard.
When you build a castle and a standard meeple with an assigned fairy is already in the corresponding city, you remove the fairy and place it next to the playing area. Move the meeple onto the newly placed castle as usual.
You may not assign the fairy to a maiden.
You may not place a meeple onto a castle via the magic portal.

>> Graners
During a dragon movement, the dragon may move past barns but may not remove farmers on barns,
nor barns. The farmer is hiding in the barn.
You may build a barn (and move a farmer onto it accordingly) even if it overlaps a tile with a dragon hoard.
When you build a barn and move a farmer with an assigned fairy onto it, you remove the fairy and place it next to the playing area.

The scoring of shepherds and their flock does not trigger the fairy bonus. (10/2025) The dragon may remove ringmistresses but may not remove the Big Top or performance tokens. You may assign the fairy to an acrobat even if it stands on top of an acrobat pyramid. In order to assign the fairy to your acrobat you might have to rearrange the pyramid so your meeple stands on the bottom. Then, place the fairy next to it.
During a dragon movement, if the dragon enters a tile with several acrobats, one of which is protected by the fairy, the fairy itself and the corresponding acrobat are not removed. However, all other acrobats on this tile are removed.
You may place a standard meeple on any acrobat site via the magic portal.
You may place your ringmistress via the magic portal according to the usual rules.

You must not build a castle or barn as a consequence of placing a prize tile. However, you may make use of its features when placing another tile afterwards to meet the appropriate conditions. You may not nominate your shepherd. You must not grow your shepherd's flock, nor herd the flock as a consequence of placing a prize tile. Only when placing the newly drawn land tile do you proceed as usual. You may not nominate your ringmistress. When scoring a performance token, nominated meeples are taken into account as usual.
If you won a prize and have a prize tile in front of you, you draw a land tile as usual. If that land tile depicts a circus site, you resolve 1. Col·locar una peça de territori as usual. Only in 3. Puntuar un element do you resolve the circus site (as stated in the rules).
