Contents

  • 1 game piece representing a meeple-shaped sandwich.

It's basically a Phantom, with carbs.

Rules

Preparation

  • Place the Meeple Sandwich to the side for now, on something clean like a plate or napkin. It may be brought into play later during the game.

Gameplay

1. Placing a tile

There are no tiles supplied with this expansion.

2. Placing a meeple

After placing a tile, you may place a meeple or special figure on it, following the standard rules.

Making a sandwich

If this new tile completes a line of 3 or more tiles in a row (orthogonally or diagonally), and every tile in that line has a meeple or special figure from any players on it (a Meeple Sandwich doesn't count), you’ve made a Sandwich! You must take The Meeple Sandwich from the supply or from another player — it’s now yours.

Snack time

The player that owns the Meeple Sandwich may deploy it as a second follower (on a second feature), like The Phantom. Thus, in one turn the player may deploy two followers to two different features of the tile he or she just placed. Or third, if they placed the Phantom before.

3. Scoring a feature

Score any features as normal

Yummi yummi

Any scored feature with a Meeple Sandwich is worth 1 extra point

5 seconds rules

You better score with the Meeple Sandwich this turn. If you dropped placed it on a feature that got completed this turn, you can score it and take it back normally. If after the end of the turn is not back in your supply, it stops being yours.

Final Scoring

At the end of the game consider the Meeple Sandwich expired. It now stinks and looks moldy.

  • if it's in a player's supply, that player loses 5 points
  • if it's on a feature, that feature is worth 0 points
