Mini Meeples introduce a new type of meeple that can be gained during play when closing a hole in the playing area as award to player which did it. But these meeples count only as half a meeple when determining majority.

Rules

Preparation

Place the mini meeples in player colors in the common supply next to the scoring track. Return any mini meeples in unused colors to the game box.

Earn mini meeple

1. Placing a tile

If a normal (non-abbey) tile is placed into a hole, i.e it is surrounded on 4 sides, the player earns one mini meeple of his color from common supply (if available), which may be used on future turns or on same turn as one would normally use a meeple.

Usage of a mini meeple

2. Placing a meeple

Instead of a standard meeple, you may place mini meeple according to the usual rules.

3. Scoring a feature

When determining the majority in a feature, the mini meeple counts as ½ standard meeple (it has a strength of 0.5).

Final Scoring

The same rules apply to mini meeples during final scoring.
