The interpretation of the rules leads to the following sequence of actions before the final scoring:
1. The game has finished, there is no active player anymore, so not messages can be received. Robbers are removed also from the scoreboard for the sake of consistency:
- Add messenger points to scoring meeple and remove the messengers from the scoring board
- Score 3 points per remaining robber and remove them from the scoreboard
2. The last scoring of the big top is performed before final scoring:
- Score the circus and remove the big top
3. Gold ingots are removed too (no impact on scoring after the game):
- Remove gold pieces still on the game board
4. Players prepare for farmer scoring right before the final scoring starts.
- Redeploy meeples from the market district of the City of Carcassonne to fields
5. The final scoring after the game takes place
- ...
This sequence avoids any side effects between the scoring of the big top and farms (and other features in C1).
