Spiel Doch Promo
General info and comments
The tiles can be used together as alternative starting tiles, although they have regular color backs and not dark ones. They can also be used as standard game tiles.
This expansion has been developed for the Carcassonne basic game. All the basic game rules still apply in addition to the expansion rules below. You can combine it with other expansions - but at your own risk – that is, there will be no official rules for these combinations.
- 2 new land tiles
If used as starting tiles, remove the regular starting tile from the game and place both Spiel Doch! Promo tiles on the table and proceed with the regular game.
Otherwise shuffle the Spiel Doch! Promo tiles together with the land tiles of the basic game.
- The player who manages to place the two Spiel Doch! Promo tiles in the correct order immediately receives 5 extra points.
Several tiles have a small illustration on them. The letters in brackets show which illustration is on each tile:
Note: The small illustrations of a cowshed, a pigsty and a donkey stable are collectively referred to as sheds or stables.

- No meeples can be placed directly on these tiles when played as starting tiles. It will require a magic portal or a flier to do so later on during the game.
This variant wasn't included in the rules provided in the magazine. The source for this rule variant is the e-mail newsletter of the Nostheide publishing house from August 2018. It can also be found online here:
