Content structure

In my considered opinion levels should be switched so it looks like in Traders and Builders. For some reasons HiG decided it is better to learn rules this way. Currently player need to learn how to place a mayor, then other meeples. After that refresh in memory knowledge about mayor placement to learn about its scoring. In the end I think it should look like that:

  • abbey
    • tile
    • meeple
    • scoring
    • end scoring
  • mayor
    • tile
    • meeple
    • scoring
    • end scoring
  • barn
    • tile
    • meeple
    • scoring
    • end scoring

etc. (even if some section is not applicable, there should be explicit statement about that)

I think finding particular info for clarification is similarly easy in both versions, but mine proposal (or rather HiGs proposal) is easier for learning.

Fair enough - I'll put it back into that sort of format - should be easy enough to copy the sections that I created. --Wolnic (talk) 21:19, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

The wagon and the labyrinth

I came across a discussion on CarcC about The Labyrinth advanced rules and whether a wagon could be moved from a neighbouring closed feature to an unoccupied road segment connected to an incomplete labyrinth.

Wagon moving to road segment on a labyrinth

The case depicted seems correct, and I think it would be interesting to update the wagon section and/or The Labyrinth page to clarify that:

  • The wagon can be moved to an incomplete labyrinth network (a neighbour unoccupied road or even the labyrinth tile if unoccupied).
  • Upon completion, the wagon can be moved to a neighbouring feature of any of the four road branches.

In a nutshell, if we all agree about the behavior of the Labyrinth:

  • Basic rules: The labyrinth behaves as a regular roundabout connecting four road branches.
  • Advanced rules: The labyrinth behaves as a specialized roundabout that connects four road branches that can be occupied independently, and that are completed at the same time as one feature.
