Talk:The Fruit-Bearing Trees
Publisher, date, and release event in intro (solved)
I've added CundCo and 2018, according to CarcC thread
Placing a Meeple section
- OK, you place a meeple on that tile, but most of the description (taking fruit token, scoring and selling) relates to what can happen on subsequent player's turns - I've made a few edits to clarify this, assuming I have it right that it's the person who places the adjacent tile that gets the token. Or is it only when they place a tile and a meeple on it that YOU get the token, which would mean that only YOU could ever get the tokens from a tree that YOU placed, so you would never be able to collect a set, unless you picked all tree tiles
I agree that this actually irrelevant who has put the tree tile in preceding turns when considering harvesting or scoring. I have made annotation for that.

The meaning of this section can be mistaken. A careful reading leads to the following conclusion: you can carry out the fruit actions when:
1. You place a new tree tile and place a meeple in the same turn.
2. You place a new tile adjacent to the tree tile with a new meeple on it. This action happens in a subsequent turn.
I update the rules to include case #1, that was omitted after some edition by mistake.

Added clarification in footnote #2 about multiple meeples performing multiple fruit actions according to the interpretation of the original rules provided by Just a Bill (see this thread for an example and a clarification) and the discussion on this CarcF thread.

Formating
- Feels like there's too much bold in the Fruit Action description ...
I just followed the manual. I think all those are important. I have removed bold from "next to", but added annotation about diagonally/horizontaly/vertically. In castles they described much more what "next to" means. --Msasinski (talk) 20:24, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
- and the level 4 and level 5 headings appear to be the same priority as bold text - that's always annoyed me about mediawiki
But they do not appear in TOC, so I think it is bearable --Msasinski (talk) 20:24, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
if don't place a meeple
- if don't place a meeple on the tile being placed next to the tree tile, I assume you can't do any of the fruit actions?
"Placed a meeple" is in bold. I guess you cannot be more precise than that. --Msasinski (talk) 20:24, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
