Karl-Heinz Schmiel, was born in 1948 and grew up in Saxony, in Bavaria. He is a German game designer and co-founder of the game publisher Hans im Glück. He also works as a teacher in an open Kindertreff in Munich. Since 1983, he has designed several games, including Die Macher, À la carte, and Was Sticht? He was the codesigner of Cardcassonne. He also published games as Moskito-Spiele.
