The game publisher Mindok, based in Prague, was founded in 2007 by Jaromír Kovařík. In 2008, the company joined SMART games. In addition to board games, Mindok also sells games halfway between board games and puzzles, which are designed for one player only. In 2012, the company changed its logo.

Before Mindok was founded in 2007, Carcassonne was published by Albi.

Currently is Mindok one of the few publishers, which publish all Carcassonne boxed expansions. Last years Mindok published also all recent spin-off games including Mists over Carcassonne.
