De Ark van het Verbond

De Ark van het Verbond is een spel dat is gemaakt door Klaus-Jürgen Wrede, de maker van Carcassonne.
Het spel is uitgegeven in Template:Year nl, door Überplay Entertainment onder hun Inspiration Games opdruk die games op de markt bracht speciaal voor de religieuze markt. Een Duitse editie, genaamd Die Baumeister des Könings, volgde in Template:Year nl, uitgegeven door Diehl Medien.
De Ark van het Verbond is een op zichzelf staand spel dat gebaseerd is op Carcassonne, maar is niet te combineren met Carcassonne of andere van de Carcassonne spin-off spellen.
Sinds april 2008, is Überplay Entertainment failliet gegaan. Dit heeft het moeilijker gemaakt om De Ark van het Verbond te bemachtigen.
De Ark van het Verbond is de meer volwassen versie van Carcassonne. Het werd meer dan twee jaar na het originele Carcassonne uitgebracht, en een jaar nadat Jagers en Verzamelaars werd uitgebracht, en als zodanig kon het profiteren van beide spellen, met als resultaat een elegantere speelbeleving. Sommige gamers spelen liever een spelletje De Ark van het Verbond in plaats van 'vanille' [2] Carcassonne om deze reden. Het is een uitstekend spel voor diegenen die een basisversie van Carcassonne willen spelen zonder alle uitbreidingen. Sommige fans hebben het liefkozend omgedoopt tot Arkcassonne of Carc of the Ark .
There have been two rule sets produced for The Ark of the Covenant (2003, 2005). The second edition sought to clarify some issues raised as a consequence of the first edition rule set. The clarifications of the second edition are provided in the annotations of this document. The differences between The Ark of the Covenant and the German release, Die Baumeister des Königs, are also shown in the annotations. The Question and Answer footnotes refer to official responses to the question posed. As The Ark of the Covenant was released first in English, it is the English version that the following sections follow.
WICA Opmerkingen
In 2008 The Ark of the Covenant CAR was written from the perspective of the First Edition, with corrections from the later edition included in footnotes. This version has been changed to include the information from the second edition in the main body of the text, with changes from the first edition referenced in the Notes.
