General info and comments
Robber's son fan-expansion was released by Carcassonne Central member Snearone.
The tiles and rules files are available here:
- C1 and C2 version on Carcassonne Central (please register to access):
Contents
- 8 landscape tiles (identified with a robber's son symbol)
New land tiles
The new Land tiles are played like those in the base game.
Open junction: The road does not end on this tile. Instead, it branches into 3 directions. | |
Bridge: Field on this tile is uninterrupted and continues under the bridge. |
Rules
Preparation
Shuffle the new landscape tiles in with those from the basic game and stack them normally.
Gameplay
1. Placing a tile
Tiles are placed exactly like those in the base game. If a Robber's son tile continues a road occupied by one or more highwayman, you may remove one highwayman of your choice (even your own) from the continued road and return it to its player's supply. [1]
2. Placing a meeple
If you chose to remove a meeple during step 1, you may not place a meeple this turn (not even on a different segment of the tile). If you did not remove a meeple during step 1, you may place a meeple as normal. [2]
3. Scoring a feature
Robber's son does not affect scoring.
Others expansions
Fan expansions
Since the Castle Lord is placed on the Castle entrance, which is part of the Castle Road, when the player decides to remove the meeple from the road, he can also remove the Castle Lord.
