Rules

Preparation

The Black Fairy is a neutral figure that belongs to no player. It begins the game in the supply.

Gameplay

Figure Black Fairy.png
1. Placing a tile

If the Black Fairy is still assigned to your meeple at the start of your turn, you immediately score -1 point.

Example 1: Red has assigned the Black Fairy to his meeple on beginning of his turn. Red received immediately -1 point penalty.
2. Placing a meeple

Instead of placing a meeple, you may assign the Black Fairy to one of any meeples on the board by placing the Black Fairy directly next to it.

3. Scoring a feature

When scoring a feature where the Black Fairy is assigned to one of your meeples, you score -3 points, even if you do not score points for the feature. You may earn negative points. Your meeple returns to your supply, as normal, but the Black Fairy remains on its tile.

Example 2: Blue places a tile and completes the city. Red scores total 3 points ( 6 points for the city and -3 points penalty for the Black Fairy).
Final Scoring

The player whose meeple is associated with the Black Fairy at the end of the game scores -3 points during final scoring.
