Rules

Preparation

Shuffle the new tiles with those from the base game (and any other expansions you wish to use). Place the tokens aside.

Gameplay

1. Placing a tile

Tiles with question-marked coat of arms are placed exactly like those in the base game.

2. Placing a meeple

You may place a meeple according to the usual rules.

Example 1: You place meeple to tile with question marked coat of arms.
2b. Checking your luck

When a tile with question-marked coat of arms is placed this turn, roll a die to determine outcome:

  • 1/2/3 - the number of additional coat of arms for the city with question-marked coat of arms.
  • 4 – red “X”, loss of all coats of arms throughout the city.
  • 5/6 – nothing.

Pick up the correct token and cover the question-marked coat of arms with it.

3. Scoring a feature

The scoring of the new tiles follows the usual rules considering the token placed on a tile as part of it. Remember that just one   causes a loss of all coats of arms throughout the city.

Example 2: You score 12 points (three city tiles and three coats of arms).

 General rules

Each coat of arms on the token is considered as printed on a tile.
Pay attention to   tokens as they cause the loss of all coats of arms throughout the city. As a result, certain rules are not applied anymore, even if they look like they should.
