  • The Hills & Sheep rules indicates you may choose between two options, that is, you ("politely") must choose between two given options. There is no possibility to skip this selection.

  • The Fruit-Bearing Trees rules tell you that you may choose one option out of two candidates. So the rules are not forcing you to pick one.
