Rules

Preparation

Each player draw one double-size tile. Then each player place his Wetland tile face down in front of him.

2-3 players variantion

When playing 2 players, instead of 1 double-size tile, each player draw two or three double-size tiles, but every player equally.
When playing 3 players, instead of 1 double-size tile, each player draw two double-size tiles.

1. Placing a tile

Instead of draw tile, you can place your Wetland tile from supply exactly like those in the base game. Wetland tiles can touch each other in corners and also on sides.

2. Placing a meeple

You may place a meeple according to the usual rules. When feature with placed meeple is on both sides of double-size tile (like road, city or field), you need to move it to one of choosed side on that feature.

3. Scoring a feature

The scoring of the new tiles follows the usual rules considering. Features placed on both sides if double tiles are counted as 2 tiles for scoring (like road, etc).

Scoring placement of Wetland tile

If a player has finished any feature (city, road or monastery) on a Wetland tile by placing a that Wetland tile, he scores as many points as the number of finished features times the number of tiles placed around that Wetland tile.

Example 1: Red placed a Wetland tile and finished two roads on the Wetland tile (the city and the monastery are still unfinished). There are 4 tile placed around the Wetland tile. Red scores 8 points (2 finished features x 4 tiles).

On the next turn, if any player placed a tile in the vicinity of a Wetland tile that has a water tower or coat of arms, he scores 3 points for each[1].

Example 2: Red placed a tile in the vicinity of a Wetland tile. There is a water tower in the city. Red scores 3 points.
