Oorspronkelijk uitgebracht door Hans im Glück in Template:Year nl ter gelegenheid van de 10e jarige jubileum van het spel Carcassonne. ^[1]

Deze uitbreiding is ontwikkeld voor het basisspel Carcassonne. Naast de onderstaande uitbreidingsregels gelden nog steeds alle basisspelregels.

Regels

Voorbereiding

Schud de 10 feesttegels door de landtegels van het basisspel.

Plaatsen van een tegel

When a player draws a tile with a festival symbol on it, he or she should place the tile according to the usual rules.

Het plaatsen van een horige

The player must then choose either:

deploy one of one’s own figures to the tile in the usual way; or
return one of one’s own figures ^[2] ^[3] ^[4] from the entire playing area ^[5] to his or her supply. ^[6] ^[7] ^[8]

De speler kan ook kiezen om niks te doen, in plaats van de bovengenoemde opties.

Captured followers (from The Tower expansion) cannot be returned to the player's supply in this way.

Puntentelling

Wanneer je één of meerdere gebieden (b.v. een klooster, een weg, enz.) voltooit door het plaatsen van een Feesttegel, dan scoor je deze volgens de normale regels.

Eindtelling

Feesttegels leveren bij de eindtelling geen extra punten op.

No scoring would be applicable to any follower or special figure, including the shepherd and the CII abbot. Note that:
- If a shepherd is removed, no Herd flock into stable action is invoked and no flock scoring would take place. There is no official clarification about what happens in this case to the shepherd's flock, but it is reasonable to leave it as is on the game board. If it is shared with one or more shepherds, they would not be affected; otherwise, the flock could be claimed by a new shepherd and it would be an analogous case to the sheep found on some tiles in 1st edition minor expansions such as The River III or Halflings II.
- It would be odd to use this expansion to remove a CII abbot, as it has its own retrieval mechanism that involves scoring.
