Lansat original de Hans im Glück în 2013, Carcassonne: Mările Sudului este un joc isteț de plasare a cartonașelor pentru 2 până la 5 jucători, cu vârste de 8 în sus.

South Seas is based on Carcassonne, and was the first of the "Carcassonne Around The World" series of standalone games, but is not compatible with Carcassonne or any of the other Carcassonne spin-off games.

The game uses many of the standard Carcassonne game concepts, but moves it from medieval France to the islands of the South Seas.

"South Seas – Clear blue waters flow effortlessly around seemingly countless islands all connected by a sophisticated network of bridges. It is here that the busy people who inhabit this heavenly paradise frolic around to gather the gifts granted to them by nature. Fish from the sea, bananas from the islands, and the bridges are crowded with shell collectors showing off their latest find. From time to time, merchant ships will dock at the island in search of cargo: the islander that supplies the merchants with the wares they seek is well rewarded for their trouble."

Rules

  • Fan Expansions for South Seas - A number of fan produced "print-and-play" expansions have been created which are available from CarcassonneCentral , CarcassonneForum and CarcassonneCZ. These expansions may either be "completed" (available as a complete pack of tiles and rules (as applicable - some may only be a set of rules)) or "in development" (partially developed, perhaps some tiles and an outline of rules in a forum discussion thread).
